The Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ exists for the purpose of continuing the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ (prophetic, priestly, and kingly) in seeking and saving those which are lost.  We accept this mandate with joy to proclaim praise and practice the good news of Jesus Christ to liberate man from sin.

Therefore, we are impelled to teach men to observe all things whatsoever our Lord has commanded.  In so doing, we nurture and equip members of the Body of Christ for His service.

The foundation of The Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ stands firmly on the infallible word of God as our only authority in all matters.  Being empowered by the Holy Spirit, we engage in active ministry internally and externally for the unifying, sanctifying and edifying of the Body of Christ to the glory of God.

Ministry Objectives

In conjunction with the Ministry Statement of Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ, the following are objectives of which we intend to weave into the ministry fabric of Western Georgia to ensure the highest potential of successful ministry.

1. Facilitate training in the area of effective leadership

Strong leadership is the key to any successful organization or endeavor. This statement is even the more applicable to striving to develop an effective ministry.  We will develop and sharpen skills that directly address leadership and leadership principles.

2. Promote ministry that ministers to the total man

We will develop methods and techniques to address the needs of not only the spiritual man but the natural as well.

3. Encourage church involvement in the community of which it is apart

It is becoming more apparent that our churches need to take the communities in which we minister by storm to provide a true answer to man’s problems.  The only effective way to accomplish this goal is by incorporating our churches into the community and playing an active role in that community.

4. Identify strategies for church expansion

Grow, Grow, Grow! Not only in numbers of membership but also in MINISTRY and SERVICE.
