The Western Georgia Jurisdiction was created by the General Board and ratified by the General Assembly in the November 8, 2004 session of the  General Assembly.  The General Board also appointed Dr. Henderson Spivey as Bishop Designee of Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction and Bishop Spivey selected Perrella Hines as Jurisdictional Supervisor Designee.

April 1, 2005 the General Board came to Georgia and Consecrated Bishop Designee Henderson Spivey as Bishop of the Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.  November 11, 2005 the General Supervisor, Mother Willie Mae Rivers, installed Supervisor Designee Perrella Hines as Jurisdictional Supervisor of the Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in the 98^th Holy Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee.

June 25, 2005 Bishop Henderson Spivey appointed Superintendent Dr. John Thomas as First Administrative Assistant to the Bishop.  Elder Brandon Milligan was appointed Jurisdictional secretary and Sister Sarah McCombs, Esq. as Assistant Jurisdictional secretary.  October 18, 2006 upon the resignation of Elder Milligan from the office of Jurisdictional secretary Bishop Spivey appointed Mrs. Sarah McCombs, Esq. as executive Jurisdictional secretary of the Western Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ.
